Peter James started his working life in biochemistry research at Birmingham University.
After studying at Manchester Dental School he qualified in Dentistry in 1978 and practised in Manchester and Newton-le-Willows until moving to The Cross House in 1989.
From 1991-94 he worked in the orthodontic department at Cheltenham General Hospital and in 1995 after 3 years of study he was awarded the DPDS at Bristol University.
In 1994 Peter started a referral practice in Evesham to provide orthodontic treatments and still spends at least 2 days a week there.
Peter is married with three children, in his spare time he is a keen golfer and an active member of Tewkesbury Rotary Club, in any remaining time he will be found in his garden.
Mrs Barbara Lawson BDS (Newc) GDC number: 62297
Originally from Cumbria, Barbara studied dentistry in Newcastle and qualified in 1987 winning the prestigious Sopwith Prize on the way. After gaining extensive experience in many aspects of dentistry working in General Practice in the north east she moved to Worcester in 2000 and joined the Cross House in 2010, she regular attends courses to gain knowledge of the newest techniques and materials
Barbara is married with three children, she loves skiing, cooking, attending the gym and walking the dog.
Mrs Claire Leader DDH GDC number: 5148
Claire is from Sheffield and qualified as a hygienist from Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in 1996. Prior to this she worked as a Dental Surgery Assistant in the Orthodontic and Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery Department at Lincoln County Hospital and as a civilian Dental Surgery Assistant with the MOD.
Following qualification she has worked in general dental practice where she spends time treating both adults and children, she has a particular interest in treating nervous patients.
Claire is married with two children, in her spare time she likes to keep fit, enjoys arts and crafts and reading. As a mother of two young children she discovered a real talent and is now a very proficient celebration cake maker.
Jessica Hawthorn BSc GDC number: 258226
Jessica qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from the University of Birmingham in 2015. Since qualifying she has worked at practices in the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire area utilising her skills not only as a hygienist but also performing fillings and child tooth extractions as part of her duty as a Dental Therapist.
Jessica has a kind and gentle nature and enjoys building a good rapport with her patients. She has a passion for treating gum disease and strives to provide motivation for improving oral hygiene.
In her spare time Jess enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is engaged to be married and enjoys going on holiday with her fiance.
